Oh yeah, look at that, look at that there.
Looks like it feels good don’t it?
A full-body stretch that really pulls on the upper back, which helps to ease the tension from sitting in a really bad position when I’m writing pieces like this for no real reason.
Other than to talk to someone other than my self.
And you of course.
But isn’t that the same thing?
We have to remember you’re only in my head.
Like an imaginary friend.
Or maybe I’m in your head and I’m the imaginary friend?
So who’s real and who isn’t then?
I dunno…
This is confusing isn’t it?
Yes, it is, so let’s get back to what we were talking about it the first place, which is the stretch I call the FDAU, which stands for Face-Down, Ass-Up.
I don’t mean to sound dirty, even though it does, it’s just how I describe the pose, based on the position the body parts have to be in in order to lengthen the fascia along the lats and the traps, and the erector spinae, and down into the gluteus medius and gluteus maximus, which can be a little bitch if you sit for too long, she gets all jammed up and really pissed off.
And then that throws your gait off which makes it really hard to walk, which leads to even bigger problems, cuz everything is connected, so it’s not just one thing that makes moving hard, it’s everything, ya know?
And that’s why regular intervals of exercise versus stretching throughout the day is the only way to prevent the self-sabotaging effects of being a writer.
Or, whatever you gotta do that keeps you sedentary…ya dig?
FDAU.
Face down ass up.
Ok?
Ok.
That’s how you stretch everything.
